Grange Membership

Reasons to Join

As a member of the Grange you will receive the National Grange benefits, participate in local community service projects, and enjoy the fellowship of fun people in your area.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are usually on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. They consist of a potluck supper, followed by a an educational program and a short business meeting. Programs are presented by various members or by outside experts; past programs have included euchre lessons, cider pressing, a look at making violin bows, and talks on environmental topics.

We also get together for an annual holiday party in December, and a summer picnic. Special events include Rural Education Days, Math/Science Night with Pittsfield Elementary School, and Apple Day in the fall. We regularly hold dance afternoons for the whole family.

The Grange Hall is used by a variety of community groups, including a fencing club and several traditional dance groups. Members of these groups join Grange members for semi-annual "work days" to maintain the hall.
